Big Sister
Chapter 1
Countless people panicked in the streets. They all ran in the same direction, away from downtown. And they all looked terrified. People pushed and shoved those in front of them to clear the way. Those who had been shoved violently fell to the ground to get trampled on by the mob behind them. They were loud, everyone was either screaming for life, or shouting madly at the others to make way.
The ground trembled.
Jasmin found herself running along with the mob without knowing why she did. People were pushing her, but she maintained her balance.
“Stop shoving me!” she shouted. But the voices of the mob were much louder, she hardly heard her own voice.
She wondered what the people were running away from; what could possibly send such a large crowd running like bulls in Pomplona. Then she heard it.
In the far distance behind the buildings echoed the loud crashing noises of cars crashing and tarmac breaking. Dust and debris fell from the tops of the buildings, its foundations shaking mildly.
The ground trembled even more.
Jasmin instantly knew that whatever was responsible for all this chaos and terror had to be really huge and heavy. She had an awful feeling in her stomach, like a foreboding of something. It was like she knew what it was, and at the same time didn’t.
“It can’t be,” she uttered to herself.
Giant toes had just appeared behind the corner up ahead, instantly crushing dozens of people underneath. Scores of people close to the giant bare foot were thrown off balance from the violent impact of the giant sole touching the ground, which cracked and sunk underneath due to the giantess’s weight.
The mob around the giant toes erupted in panic and they were determined to get away from the gigantic foot. People were so desperate to survive that they didn’t care if they had to hurt others to succeed. The weak were thrown to the ground and got trampled on.
There wasn’t much humanity left in anyone. What was left was the millions of years old survival instinct.
Jasmin felt her heart stop for a moment. A coldness crept up her back which gave her goose bumps. She had trouble breathing, a heavy weight was upon her chest. She couldn’t take her eyes off the giant, dark purple polished toe nails. She knew she had seen them before, very recently, possibly this morning. And the awful feeling in her stomach was instantly confirmed. She knew to whom those toes belonged.
“Jenny…” she said.
The other giant bare foot appeared soaring in the air with its toes pointing upward. Its heel slammed the ground with a crunching sound before the ball of the foot slapped the pavement with a loud thud. The toes came to rest on the ground as the giantess stopped walking.
The ground trembled as the giantess shifted her weight, placing both her hands on her hip.
Jasmin watched the giant toes in awe. She figured that the pinky toe must have reached half of her 5 ft. 6 and a half in. frame if she had stood right next to it.
The fair skin was flawless and soft, even at this size. The dark purple toe nails were glossy. The bottom of the foot, what was visible, was heavily covered in dust and debris, and blood.
Jasmin had never though that those toes could be so deadly in her entire life. And she couldn’t even imagine how many innocent people had been crushed to death today. Clearly, she thought, those toes had been busy. She even wondered if the giantess, Jenny, had felt those people that had been crushed, or if they had been nothing more than insects to her.
People all around Jasmin gasped as they craned their necks to look towards the sky.
Jasmin looked up and saw Jenny’s face looming in the sky among the skyscrapers and behind Jenny’s normally modest but now ridiculously huge breasts. Jenny’s face was a bit distorted due to Jasmin’s extremely low vantage point, but she easily recognized her older sister’s usually friendly face.
The giantess was scanning all the tiny people on the ground when she bent her knees to squat on her heels. It was like a mountain falling from the sky and easily coming to a rest in the air. The ground shook wildly when the giantess was moving even just a little, accentuating her unimaginable weight.
To the horror of all the people gazing up at the giantess, she started talking.
“I know you’re here somewhere,” the giantess said to the crowd at her feet.
Jasmin froze upon hearing those words. She knew who Jenny was looking for. But she didn’t know why.
“Jasmin, come out of hiding!” the giantess boomed.
The giantess’s words lay heavy on Jasmin. They were spoken with so much determination that Jasmin feared for what was to come next. She knew that whenever her usually docile and quiet sister seemed determined about something that her sister meant business. And with Jenny at this size even, Jasmin sweat beads of fear.
